THE “LOVE FROM AUSTIN” MURAL

In 2016, local artist Charlie Copp of Lymbo Clothing created the “Love from Austin” mural, which in the meantime has become a beloved local icon. If you are visiting Austin, be sure to stop by and grab a picture in front of the mural; if you post it on social media, you can use the tag #iloveaustin. Then, we hope you will stop inside to say hello; we love making visitors feel welcome!

THE PRIMA DORA LOCK WALL

In collaboration with local artists Lazer Beam, in October of 2019 we created an installation that was inspired by the Parisian lovers who carved their initials into locks hanging from the Pont des Arts bridge over the river Sein. Located on the south wall of Birds Barbershop, the Lock Wall gives visitors a fun way to make new memories and celebrate special occasions.

Visitors to our installation can stop inside Prima Dora, where they will find a fun selection of locks for sale, along with a Sharpie station where they can get creative and customize the lock, before adding it to our organically growing lock sculpture. Then, they can add their locks to the lock wall, snap a photo in front of the Lock Wall, and as a bonus, use the Lock Wall photo dock to grab a perfect photo of our “Love from Austin” mural.
